Deepa Vadivel is a Principal Associate in the Real Estate & Infrastructure practice at Chugh Universal Legal. With over 15 years of experience, she advises developers, investors, corporates, financial institutions and high-net-worth individuals on complex real estate transactions, title due diligence, land acquisitions and project development.
She has extensive experience in conducting title due diligence for large land acquisitions, preparing comprehensive title reports and advising clients on title risks, land use and zoning issues. Her practice also includes structuring and documenting complex real estate transactions, including joint development projects, commercial leasing arrangements and high-value property acquisitions and disposals.
Deepa Vadivel regularly advises clients on drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of transaction documents, including Joint Development Agreements, Sale and Purchase Agreements, Lease Deeds, Leave and Licence Agreements, Powers of Attorney, Escrow Agreements, Area Sharing Agreements, Mortgage Deeds, Settlement Deeds, Gift Deeds, Wills and other conveyancing and registration documents. She has also advised clients on built-to-suit developments, property succession planning and regulatory compliance relating to real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Chugh Universal Legal, Deepa Vadivel was associated with Surana & Surana International Attorneys for over thirteen years as part of its Real Estate & Infrastructure practice, where she advised on several high-value real estate and infrastructure projects. She has also worked with Zenith Lex & Co., Advocates, Legal Advisors & Consultants and commenced her legal career under Mr. Ashok Menon, Advocate, where she gained experience in civil and property litigation, providing her with a well-rounded understanding of both transactional and contentious real estate matters.
Deepa Vadivel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Madras and an LL.B. from Dr. Ambedkar Law College, Tirupati.
