Kandavel is an associate at Chugh Universal Legal in the Corporate and M&A practice, having joined the firm in 2025. He regularly assists on transaction documentation, including drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements, conducting legal due diligence, and advising on a range of corporate regulatory, secretarial, other allied compliance matters and research.
He holds an Honours degree in law from the School of Excellence in Law, Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. Before joining the firm, Kandavel was engaged in litigation practice. Between 2023-2024 he worked in the in the office of the Special Government Pleader for the State of Tamil Nadu, where he assisted in several significant matters concerning the State before the High Court of Madras. His practice also involved matters before Magistrate Courts, the NCLTs, RERA and various arbitration and mediation tribunals and forums.
