Partha Mandal has founded UNIVERSAL LEGAL, Attorneys At Law (presently renamed as CHUGH UNIVERSAL LEGAL, Advocates and Solicitors) by setting up the Firm’s first office in Bengaluru.

Mr. Mandal’s experience spans over 35 years and he is a registered Patent Attorney and Trademark Attorney in India. Mr. Mandal serves as Director on the Board of Companies of Indian subsidiaries of multinationals and advises on operations and management in a non-executive capacity.

Mr. Mandal is a member and an active participant of various prestigious professional associations and organisations, namely, International Bar Association, International Trademarks Association (INTA), International Association for the protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), NASSCOM, Indo American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, etc., to name a few.

Mr. Mandal’s broad-based practice focuses on Mergers, Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, Strategic Alliances, Private Equity, Real Estate, Employment laws, Intellectual Property, Private Clients, Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Family Law.

Mr. Mandal caters to all the legal requirements of his Clients as a one stop shop including transactional work, contract review, real estate documentation, testamentary and inheritance matters, labour law compliances, family and personal law, civil and criminal litigation, mediation and arbitration. Mr. Mandal also conducts internal investigations, conflict resolutions and advises on regulatory aspects and has also represented clients before the Enforcement Directorate, including all aspects of white-collar crime, government investigation and compliance with the anti-bribery, anti-corruption and money laundering laws.
